DEPRESSION

At one point in my life, I had no idea who I was, and I felt like I shouldn’t live anymore. I broke down completely. I was by myself, and it’s hard to help someone who is depressed. Yes, you did hear it correctly. Depression. Even though I knew I was depressed, it was hard for me to admit it. But do we truly admit it and speak it out loud? Not only do we say it out loud, but do we even say it to ourselves? No, that’s not right. People in our country think that happy people are the best and that there is no such thing as depression. Even the person sitting next to us can’t tell if we’re sad or not. You get it? Because a smile is the most powerful thing a depressed person has. I kept smiling so that no one would know how bad things were for me. I can remember times when I slept almost 15 hours a day and times when I didn’t sleep for almost a week.

It’s hard to talk to someone when your own thoughts are making you confused. When someone is depressed, the biggest mistake people make is to tell them that everything will be fine and that they will be fine, even though they know deep down that things won’t be so easy.

When you’re really down, the most important thing is to start moving forward, because momentum brings hope. With momentum comes drive. With momentum, you feel like there is a reason to look forward to tomorrow. Because we can do amazing things when we respect our struggles instead of hating them.

Every day, win a little.

There will be bad and sad days in your life. As you learn how to deal with them, they’ll get fewer and fewer, but they won’t go away. So, you can be sure that they are there. Start making your life happier.

The one thing I want you all to know is that this is not the end, no matter where you are, how low you’ve fallen, or how bad your situation is. The story doesn’t end here. This is not the last thing that will happen to you. Yes, it’s hard right now, but close your eyes for a few seconds and think. Think that this hard time will go away. Try to find a bigger reason for your pain, and I’m sure you’ll find that, once you do, you can turn your life around and help others who are going through the same thing.

We all get depressed at some point in our lives, but instead of joining this line, it’s more important to figure out why we’re sad and what we can do about it. Because, believe it or not, we make all of those bad feelings. But now, let’s make a world where people are happy and where depression is the norm.

Never forget that it’s your journey. A journey that will help you grow into a person with lots of potential. Accept what you feel and try to figure out why you feel that way. Start by changing how you look at life, and you’ll be able to see things in a different way.

Anyone who is depressed has lost something they couldn’t change or doesn’t have something they can’t change. We haven’t been taught how to be happy since we were children. Nobody has ever told us how important our thoughts, both conscious and unconscious, are. Happiness is more important than anything else in the world.

If I’m being honest, I still don’t know if I’ve fully gotten over my depression or not. Healing takes time, just like it takes time for small wounds to heal. Even if the wound gets better, the scars will always be there. Still, my life is much better now, and I’m proud to say that all I want in life is to be happy. I used to think I wasn’t good enough, but now I value myself enough to take time every day to work on myself.

Piece of Advice

Take small steps to make sure that next time you’ll be in a much better place.

Do the right thing.

Don’t LOSE HOPE.

Why can’t I do it if others can? I am going to do it too!

Depression is a common illness that affects millions of people every year. Depression can happen to anyone, even if there seems to be no reason for it. Depression can be caused by problems in life, changes in the brain’s chemistry, some medications, and physical conditions. The good news is that you can get help for depression. If you have signs of depression, you should talk to your doctor. The sooner you get help, the sooner you’ll start to feel better.

  1. Depression is actually a problem that so many people are facing these days. I can really relate to the words that were mentioned that you slept for 15 hours a day and did not sleep for days, as there was a point in my life where I faced the same situation. Talking truly helps. It will not solve your problems, but it will assist you in dealing with them. As it was said, it’s a journey and the journey must go on. Finally, the piece of advice was insightful, taking small steps in the right direction helps a lot. It will not be visible in a day, but with each passing day, you will definitely feel better.
