First Corporate Promotion

We as a whole became dependable towards our Family and Profession sooner or later of time in our life, not as a result of one single variable however other influencing something very similar, prior to going into this thrill ride we should initially grasp the significance of Corporate Life. A corporate isn’t simply a word in itself however beyond what that, it tends to be shaped as a for-benefit or a not-for-benefit substance. For-benefit elements structure most of partnerships, and they are shaped to produce incomes and give a re-visitation of their investors, as per their level of proprietorship in the enterprise.

Corporate is basically the personality of an organization, or more simply the way things are done in that particular organization. Corporate culture is a broad term that spells the unique qualities of a company as a whole. It comprises of the core principles and views, corporate ethics and rules of behavior of the company. Corporate culture can be spelled in the interior decor of its offices, in the clothes its people wear to work, in the company’s mission statement, in the way its people speak to each other and in the designations given to its employees. As per my understanding Corporate Life consists of Beliefs, values, norms, processes, policies, rites/rituals/shared language, habits and expectations. The most important part of it is to enjoy the work you are liable during your tenure at a particular organization.

It gives me immense pleasure to share my corporate experience to all of you reading this blog. I entered the corporate world way back in the month of May’2018 post my Under Graduation final year exams, I was holding on to my hopes for bagging Campus Placements but unfortunately my University didn’t had enough organizations being invited for their recruitment process at that point of time. I always believed in myself that it’s okay if there wasn’t any Campus Placements but I was clear with my thought’s that no matter what I have to get a job as soon as possible, and then one fine day in the month of May’2018 I appeared for the first corporate interview of my life and by god’s grace all my hard work paid off and I was hired by Genpact for its US Client – Project Named (CIOX HEALTH ; Pilot Batch of the process).

My journey started with a bang and I also faced criticism amid my ability to solve problems and work as a team towards accomplishment of the organizational goals as a whole rather than focusing on individual goals. I was hired at Level 1 as an associate and managed multiple tasks, at each point my whole skill set and ability to understand the Client’s requirements were tested which was honestly a big task for me and taught me a lot as well. As the day passed by I was the one managing the core segment of our process at that point of time, was handed over lot more responsibilities i.e. Process Training/Training & Development, Lean Ideation, Audits (Pre/Post) etc.  Post completion of my goals I was evaluated on the basis of my KRA’s and Client Interactions so far and it took precisely 1 year 10 months to bag my first promotion. It was the best news I ever received and was blissed enough, I informed my family right away because they knew how much I have worked for it, what it actually meant to me and they always supported as well. Apart from my family I would like to mention my Colleagues and Managers/TL’s who always believed in my strength and ability to keep moving forward and proving critics wrong.

Although I have been through a lot of criticism while this whole journey of mine and learnt a lot as well, being calm/composed and focused in order to achieve both individual as well as organizational goals and target’s. My entire family was happy and proud of me then what else I need? As its everything for me. Most important thing is that I really loved in what I was doing and was satisfied and confident for the same as well keeping in mind the urge to always emulating and looking forward for new challenges in personal as well as professional life. Because one has to become uncomfortable in order to achieve everything one dreamed of. This had been a roller coaster ride for me and this will remain the most precious memory of my life, as we all say first things are always the best ones.

The only thing I want to convey is that always be focused and consistent in what so ever you do, either start loving what you do or do what you love in order to have inner satisfaction as such small things do matters a lot in framing up one’s mind set towards achieving Goals, Success etc.
