I would like to start my blog with this phrase. Use social media, don’t let social media use you. We have heard time is the most expensive as we can’t get it back, so why not make the most of it while we have? If we observe today’s generation, they waste most of their time on Social Media, mostly on Instagram. We know everything has its own pros and cons. The same goes for Instagram. If we look at its pro side and use Instagram wisely, It can become a wonderful source of income.
Don’t you believe Can we make money on Instagram? Hell yeah. Instagram is the 4th most-used social media and has 1.39 billion active users monthly. All of which is to say: that’s a massive potential audience. With an enormous and diverse pool of people who could potentially be exposed to our content, there are plenty of opportunities to earn money.
Let me give you some examples. Here’s how much some creators and celebs have reportedly cashed in:
$901: The average amount of money an Instagram influencer with 1,000 to 10,000 followers can make per post, according to Business Insider

So now comes the two most important questions, How to grow a page on Instagram and then how to earn
- Use 15-30 Instagram hashtags but not just random ones, use the right hashtags, and by right hashtags, I mean the most popular and relevant to your content
- Post consistently and post at the right times when your get the most no. of likes and engagement rate.
- The most important one, first find your niche, what kind of content you gonna post so that users know clearly what to expect from you
- Use geotags on Instagram for local discoverability
- Organize your Stories into Highlights
- Hop on trends for more followers.
- Use high-quality images.
- Reply and engage your audience.
- Partner with influencers and brands similar to your niche
- Make your account
- Optimise your bio
- Attract your competitor’s followers –
Maybe it seems like some kind of informal activity, but it works You can follow the most engaged persons from your competitor’s page, and if your content is up to a point, there are huge chances they follow you back.
Now to the second one maybe you have an Instagram page with a good no. of followers, but that doesn’t mean you will earn automatically, so here are the ways
- Become an Influencer and Earn from Advertising Products
- Promote Affiliate Offers
- Give a shoutout to the pages that want to get promoted by mentioning them in stories or posts
- Become an Instagram Coach or Consultant
- Start your own brand
- Indirectly Make Money by Advertising Your Brand
- Promote affiliate links in the bio.

- Only the no. of followers is not the criteria. The thing which matters the most is the engagement rate.
So explore social media to generate a new source of income, not waste the most expensive thing, time.

In lockdown I have gone through a lot of advertisements on Instagram that says that they will help in making a good amount of money but they all end up with with fake advertisements and also ask for a lot of money at the starting. After going through your blog it give a clear picture how can I earn a good amount of money by simply keeping some key points in my mind like using hashtags, posting the content on right time, etc. Now I can start earning by just doing simple things.

I have always wondered how people are earning through insta where people like us are only busying in chatting and scrolling. The writer correctly chose the topic as it is also important to earn money for a living rather than wasting time on social media and if the younger kids can earn money through their most used things like Instagram what could be more amazing than that? In my opinion the blogger wrote well about how one could earn money with various ways available with him/ Her. Mentioning about how much a person can earn was a plus point, as just by reading one blog. I as a viewer have access to basic information which could make me convince about doing something on social media. The only thing I felt was there could be more genuine and real examples to support the kind of ways in which one could earn money to make it more reliable and relatable.
