Self-care is a loose term for looking after yourself mentally, physically, and emotionally. Here are a few Guidelines:

  1. Knowledge is power
What to do: Learn how to upgrade your health-related knowledge by listening, reading, and watching reliable health videos, expert opinions, and books.
Benefits: You can learn how to eat healthily, identify medicine labels, spot potential side effects, and look after your body.
Beforehand, I used to invest my time in watching web series and illogical shows that distracted my mind a lot.
After adopting this Guideline, I feel like there is a lot of positivity in my life, and my sense of ability has increased.
  2. Use the 15/5 rule
What to do: Create a daily routine to boost mental health (regular, exercise, hobbies, relaxation).
Try the 15/5 rule: 15 minutes for mental relaxation / self-time, 5 times a week.
Benefits: Better self-esteem, good sleep, a feeling of contentment, and satisfaction.
After adopting this rule, I can manage my tasks with a positive mindset and full enthusiasm.
  3. Seek Help
What to do: Take action to improve your mental well-being. You can seek counseling if you notice that you are struggling with daily life and that negative thoughts are taking away the joy from your life.
Benefits: You don’t have to be ‘mentally sick’ to opt for counselling.
Taking action toward your mental health is a form of self-care.
It happens with everyone once that we all feel demotivated and there is a lack of self-control towards life. It had happened to me also, but one of my coursemates had suggested I try this therapy of counseling and sharing my problems with the person who can guide me throughout when I am in need of it.
  4. Avoid unnecessary risks
What to do: Wear a helmet and a seat belt, avoid addictive substances and get timely health check-ups.
Benefits: You avoid risks that can cause distress, injury, or even hospitalization. You take care of yourself through basic precautions and safe living, and that’s self-care!
  5. Stuff we Forget
What to do: Take a bath! Go for a walk! Brush twice daily! Smell the fresh morning air!
Benefits: Looking after the basics of hygiene and physical health boosts your immune system, reduces weight-related health issues, improves mental health, and makes you feel safe and happy.

Self-care is easy, if you commit to just 15 minutes, 5 days a week.

  2. Really very nice blog, it is worth reading. It is such a Useful post with Amazing write-up. As we all know that the greatest wealth is health. If we have good health, we probably will be happy, and if we have health and happiness, we have the wealth we need, even if it is not all we want. A vigorous five-mile walk will do more good for an unhappy but otherwise healthy adult than all the medicine and psychology in the world. Lack of activity destroys the good condition of every human being, while movement and methodical physical exercise save it and preserve it.The human body has been designed to resist an infinite number of changes and attacks brought about by its environment. The secret of good health lies in successful adjustment to changing stresses on the body. So, In short the blog is amazing, keep going.
