As the phoenix rises from the ashes of its own flames, so do written words arise from the fires of the mind, the thoughts and perspectives becoming the dark ash that fuel the phoenix that is shaped by ink, that rises and spreads its wings – ready to soar as an idea that others can admire and think upon, that others may hold and be lifted from their own darkness.

Jaipuria Institute of Management, Jaipur, and St. Xavier’s College, Jaipur, bring to you “Phoenix Inked” – National Essay Writing Competition on themes thoughtful and variant, urging the participant to put forth their opinions and views and thus bring about awareness and change that is much needed in the present times.

Last date of registration 31st January 2021.

The topics for the National Essay Writing Competition are as follows:

1. Agriculture Reforms in India
2. One Nation, One Election
3. 5 Trillion Economy: Financial Perspective
4. Global Warming: Global or Local
5. Vocal for Local

Note: There are separate competitions for Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels.

Prizes

1. One Overall Winner of all 5 topics: INR 5000 & Certificate
2. One winner from each of 5 Topics: INR 2000 & Certificate
3. Runner-up from each of the 5 Topics: INR 1000 & Certificate

Rules:

1. The essay must be less than 5% plagiarized, according to the standard plagiarism checker.
2. The word limit of the essay is 1000-1500 words.
3. The essay must be submitted in the English language.
4. Document format:
   • Font: Times New Roman
   • Font Size: 12
   • Alignment: Justified
   • Line Spacing: 1.5
5. The essay should not contain any graphics or images.
6. Submission must be made in PDF format.
