“WISH IT , PLAN IT , DO IT”

A goal without a plan is only a dream but a goal with a plan can bring you wonders. A goal is something you dream and you want to achieve in life, you work hard for that, you make plans for that, you spend day and night working and thinking about that untill you achieve it. A goal and a plan works complementarily – the better the plan, more are the chances to achieve the goal. We all have goals ready with us but do we have plans to achieve them? the answer of most of us for this question would be “no” as we think about goals more than we think about the plans to achieve it. To be focusing on plan should be the first thing while trying to achieve a goal. Making a plan will make you realise that there are many learning gaps that you are facing in achieving the goal. In today’s time to remove those learning gaps there are enormous resources available, one out of them is “chat-gpt” by using chat-gpt wisely you can make a to-do-list by which you can execute your plan and can achieve your goal. So let me talk about my goal, yes listening to other’s goals and their shortcomings is a very interesting thing right? so let me start from when i was in my 2nd year of graduation, at that time I was not aware that what I will do after passing out of this place, it was after few sessions of counselling I discovered that I should go for MBA, as when an individual is left with no option he/she opts for MBA. I hope this joke made you laugh but this gave me a goal in my life. i started preparing for cat examination, after getting a decent score in cat (a decent score which might not be decent for many) I decided to join Jaipuria institute of management and from there my journey begun and I started establishing more bigger goals. The goal on which I am presently working is the goal “to be working in a reputed MNC” but there are some learning gaps that are coming as a hurdle between me and my goal. overcoming the learning gap is a challenge, but the person who overcomes these gaps is called the ultimate winner and a goal achiever. To be precise with my learning gaps, one of the biggest learning gap in my case is “time management”. Time management is a very important aspect in our life and especially when you are entering corporate world you are entering into a hectic life schedule and you should be master at time management. you must be thinking that what would have been stopping me from fulfilling this gap? it is my present hectic schedule and my laid-back attitude towards learning this skill. It was about yesterday when I woke up at 7:20 and now I have to go to the gym, come back and get ready, and then leave for college at 8:30 so that I can reach there before 9am. And in this 1 hour time it is very difficult to go to the gym and do my workout I barely give 20-25 mins to my workout. I have been trying to work upon this but it needs more attention and hardwork. There are many sources through which we can learn about time management and can imply in my plans. I used chat-gpt to gain knowledge about time management, we should always utilise the available resources and should gain advantage of them. Through chat-gpt i got to know what experts think about time management and how to achieve it. On chat-gpt you can get summaries of books and research papers with only one click. And that’s what I did. I read summary of the book “getting things done” from that book’s summary I got to learn that we should have a to-do-list to achieve our desired goal so that we have a schedule set with us. It also mentioned that one should give attention to smaller details while doing a task and the most important thing is “consistency” this is a very powerful word and we all must have come across, by being consistent one can achieve hights in their life. I had also read summary of research paper on time management by “stephen r. covey” which states that one should be responsible in what they are doing and they should be persistent about their goals. It also mentioned about a to do list which is a very important aspect in being constant towards achieving your goals. After learning all this the first thing I did is to make a to-do-list. My to-do-list included that I will be consistent in my workout, I will start giving time to my studies, I will follow some time management techniques. Achieving a goal is not easy but if you try to be consistent and focused towards your goal it might help you to fulfil your desired goal and achieve what you have been dreaming since years. so now you have all the information on how to achieve your goals. to sum up one should be consistent, focused, responsible, ready with a to do list, make good habits and should have a plan ready with them. May you succeed and achieve all the goals you have set in your life. all the best and keep working hard.
